You can use a Gmail alias if you set up the email as an IMAP/SMTP email instead of a gmail email.
Use your alias as the email, the actual account email as the username, and your app password as the password like so:
IMPORTANT: You need to use an App Password, not the login password.
To do that:
- Make sure you have 2-Factor Authentication active here.
- Then create an App Password here (Be sure to keep this App Password value as it will be used!), with App: Mail, Device: Other, and Custom Name: EmailWarmup
Here are the values to use:
Email: [your alias email]
SMTP Username: [your main account email address]
SMTP Host: smtp.gmail.com
SMTP Port: 587
SMTP Password: [your 16-character App Password]
IMAP Username: [your main account email address]
IMAP Host: imap.gmail.com
